Sound Engineering, a leader in integrated system sales in southeastern Michigan, has openings in our Lansing, Flint and Livonia offices for sound and audio/video sales representatives, system design engineers and project managers. We require energetic professionals who can work closely with the architectural and consulting communities.

Our engineering and sales professionals work with the latest computerized software to optimize system features and benefits along with on staff programming professionals. We have an excellent reputation in designing, installing, maintaining audio visual systems and sound systems for our customers over the last 33 years.

Sales Position Responsibilities:

  • Design sound reinforcement systems and A/V system specifications for churches,
    auditoriums, gymnasiums, etc.
  • Hands-on knowledge of sound system communications equipment and A/V.
  • Proven track record in the system design of presentation systems.
  • Ability to work with staff in the design/development/engineering various systems.
  • Assist in developing sales and strategic plans, identifying competitor activity and
    preparing monthly reports/forecasts.
  • Responsible for maintaining key accounts and acquiring additional accounts.
  • Be willing to travel throughout within the local area.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent is required.
  • One to three years experience managing a sales territory in a growing business
    environment.
  • Customer orientation and associate involvement/team building skills.
  • Manufacturer based training programs and NSCA or ICIA memberships a plus.
  • Capability to read blue prints.
  • Must be assertive, diplomatic and able to work on an independent basis with a minimum
    of supervision. Self-starter with a competitive drive for results.
  • Must possess multi-task skills and foster an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Have excellent communication/presentation/interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with PC based applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledgeable in Autocad a plus.

Sound Engineering compensation package includes a salary, individual draw and an aggressive commission plan, comprehensive medical, dental and optical benefits plan, 401(K) with employer match & tuition reimbursement.
