Sound Engineering, a leader in integrated system sales in southeastern Michigan, has openings in our Livonia office for an estimator.

We have an excellent reputation in designing, installing, maintaining audio visual systems and sound systems for our customers over the last 33 years.

System Design Engineer Responsibilities:

• Determine complete material costs for projects being bid.
• Assist Project Managers determining labor requirements.
• Contact suppliers for discounts on large purchases.
• Verify all CAD and blueprint drawings.
• Other duties as assigned.
  

Required Qualifications:

• Experienced in bidding and negotiating sales of A/V, sound and communications equipment.
• Minimum of five years in estimating for sound or a/v equipment projects.
• Ability to work with multiple departments including engineering and project management.
• Proficiency with PC based applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Minimum one year recent experience working in a multi office environment.
• Flexible with ability to handle multiple projects.
• Detail orientated with ability to learn numerous procedures and be able to apply same.
• Have excellent communication/organizational/interpersonal skills.
• Must possess multi-task skills and be able to work independently.
